Over 50 Years Of Achievement in mining, civil construction and the transport industry
Charles Hull Contracting is a Western Australian company with more than 50 years’ experience in the earthmoving, civil construction and mining industries. We offer a wide range of services including road construction, residue area construction, transport, plant hire, load and haul, drill and blast, crush and screen, and plant maintenance.
The business started in 1965 when Charlie Hull, who had been operating his own bulldozer for a number of years, decided to expand his fleet and personnel to service the growing demand for his services.
Initially, the company cleared land for local farmers and the Forestry Department and later became involved in public works programs, such as the Serpentine and Wungong Dams. As the need arose, Charles Hull Contracting added scrapers to its fleet and worked on a number of metropolitan roads and subdivisions.
Road and construction work was seasonal so, as mining became more prevalent in Western Australia, the company ventured to the Goldfields of WA. In recent years Charles Hull Contracting has completed various projects, including the Armadale Rd – Thomas Rd Freeway Extension, Hedges Minesite Rehabilitation, McArthur River Airfield in Northern Territory, Ord River project in Kunnunurra and Residue Mud Drying Areas at Wagerup, Pinjarra and Boddington, and haul road construction.
They have spent decades building a knowledge base for experienced management of earthmoving and project requirements. The company remains a family owned and operated business, with the next generation now managing the large fleet of equipment and a continual upgrade program, Charles Hull Contracting is a contractor with long term capabilities.
