Drakesbrook Fine Wines are a family owned artisan creator of quality table wines, specialising in alternate and emerging varieties.
Continuously flowing, ‘the Drakesbrook’ is a small river running through the family farm in Waroona.
They have 17 different varieties of grapes that are all dry grown, using minimal intervention and minimal chemicals.
The Drakesbrook vineyard was specifically selected for its pristine environment, elevation, ample water and well drained gravely soil. Owners Bernie and Trish Worthington drew inspiration for their labels from a love of Australian parrots and the fact that endangered red and white tailed cockatoos frequently visit the property.
Their Drakesbrook collection has grown from four wines when they started in 2008, to four unique collections, totalling 24 wines under the Drakesbrook name. With a four star rating from James Halliday in 2014 and 2015, they have won over 70 medals over the years, and are exceptionally proud of their 2014 Rose winning the trophy for the best Rose at the Qantas Western Australia Wine Awards.
